Launching the blog

Well, after wrestling all day with blog systems I finally decided to go with typepad.  So far so good and I've settled on a lite design to keep things simple.  A hobby of mine is reading the latest sci-tech news so I plan to post what in my opinion are the most significant articles of the day.  I will also be inviting a few friends to blog about travel and I will post the odd observations I have on life.  Stay tuned :)
